- How The EXCLUSIVE ESTATE RESORT Concept Came To Be -

OUR LOVE OF FOOD & WINE along with our passion
to create an “EXTRAODRINARY EXPERIENCE”
for our guests, have always been at the heart of what we do.

When we began exploring typical wine country options we felt would best showcase our talent and this passion, we first gravitated towards the idea of a Bed and Breakfast. Having had the experience of operating very small lodging business in the past, we knew how much we enjoyed hosting guests as if they were coming to stay in our own home, sharing a glass of wine with them, as we did on MANY occasions and acting as their personal liaison or concierge to Wine Country. And while a Bed and Breakfast offers all of these benefits, at just $200 per night, it would take at least 10 years to turn a profit.

So, we moved on to the idea of a Winery. While it certainly fulfilled our romance with wine and a tasting room provided us a vehicle to interact with guests, offer private V.I.P. tastings and even do some wine and food pairings, we were once again disappointed by the profitability. It became apparent to us that the margins on a $30 bottle of wine were eaten up very quickly.

Special Events and Weddings however, made money…and it was easy to see why so many wineries were now putting up arches and tents. Our insight into this wedding market had already proven to us that vineyards are a very desirable wedding-scape and that Temecula Valley is a preferred destination. We couldn’t, however ignore the cries of disappointment we were hearing from Brides and their Wedding Coordinators who were looking for something that was less “rustic wine country” and more “sophisticated, grand wine country.” The $30,000 to $100,000 packages were not delivering what they wanted. So, Brides were having to go with either a Private Estate which offers privacy and prestige or, to a Resort, which offers service and amenities.

Seeing the

demand for increased sophistication, more privacy, and elevated prestige, the Villa Oliva Vineyards concept was born. We took the best of the best features that a Winery, a Private Estate and a Resort had to offer and combined them altogether. Villa Oliva Vineyards is an Exclusive Estate Resort designed to feel like a private home yet, function like a commercial facility. The Villa offers lodging accommodations and around-the-clock, full-time staff including Private Chefs, Butlers, and Housekeepers. Situated upon acres of rolling vineyards, there is also a private boutique winery, accessible
to resort guests only.

By distinguishing Villa Oliva Vineyards as a special
occasions facility, first and foremost, every aspect of the property plays a supporting role to that main function. The effects of this niche are two-fold: 1) the Bride and Groom are presented with an incredible all-inclusive wedding venue and 2) we have secured our most lucrative cash center at the top of our business model.
