VILLA OLIVA VINEYARDS
-BUSINESS PLAN-
AN EXCLUSIVE
ESTATE RESORT
Southern California
Wine Country,
Temecula Valley
Villa Oliva Vineyards
has gone to great lengths to sequence together the
events of the Weekend Wedding in a highly-orchestrated manner. From the first moment the Bride is
considering Villa Oliva until the moment her last wedding guest leaves the
property, every moment in between has been designed to offer each person a
string of extraordinary services and experiences along the way.
THE FIRST MEETING:
The
Bride, along with friends and family, will be personally greeted upon arrival by
estate owners, Duayne or Tiffiny Webster.
Through the Grand Foyer, the Bride and
her guests will be escorted up
the sweeping staircase to the Bridal Lounge where they will be able to sit
comfortably and enjoy a glass of champagne, bottled water or cappuccino along
with a gourmet cheese platter artfully arranged by our Villa Oliva Vineyards Chef.
A digital slideshow on a large flatscreen will showcase property
features as well as photography of previous weddings. Our tables, chairs, linens, flatware, china
and glassware will also be on display.
This will be our opportunity to begin forming a personal relationship
with the client, to hear her vision for her wedding and to set the standard that
Villa Oliva Vineyards offers elegant,
warm hospitality upon a backdrop of epicurean excellence.
From the office
mezzanine, the Bride will be able to look out over the 16-acre vineyard estate that
for one weekend, the most important weekend of her life, will be all hers.
This view is inspiring
and instantly lends itself to the Bride’s visualization…where her guests will
first arrive, what The Plaza will look like adorned in pale pink roses, how
she’ll take their breath away when she walks down the Romeo & Juliet staircase,
knowing that each moment of her wedding, at this resort, will impact everyone.
A secondary balcony view
overlooks the Grand Ballroom, evoking even more images of the Bride and her
Groom swirling around the dance floor to ogling and envy. The romantic essence of the property is starting
to unfold and so the tour continues.
MENU
SELECTION (This is a secondary
appointment at a later date after wedding plans are well underway): Unlike
a common and generic experience that
has a Bride tasting an uninteresting “banquet meal” at a lone table in an empty
ballroom or worse yet amongst 30 other Brides that will be having weddings at
that same
venue, Villa Oliva Vineyards
once again goes beyond what is expected to create a unique experience.
After previewing the Chef’s
Seasonal Menu, Our Bride and Groom,
along with a small party of friends and family, are invited to come and taste
selections for their Wedding Menu at a privately-cheffed family-style dinner in
the exclusive V.I.P. Dining Room secretly located above the winery. Guests will be treated to a delectable five-star,
five-course dinner masterfully created using the highest-quality ingredients possible. A selection of fine wines will also be
served, highlighting the flavors of each course. Through the ‘family-style” presentation,
guests will be able to enjoy generous portions, presented on platters, that can
be passed around and used to serve one another.
Wine is left in open bottles on the table to be easily-accessible and
free-flowing throughout the meal. This relaxed
style allows the Bride and Groom to enjoy planning their wedding and to make
some decisions in a fun, intimate way that is personal to them.
FRIDAY
OF THE WEDDING
WEEKEND
(Set-Up Day, Guest Check-In,
Wedding Rehearsal and Rehearsal Dinner):
SET-UP
DAY: Villa Oliva Vineyards has anticipated and prepared for the extensive
amount of design and detail that are inherent in weddings of this caliber. Therefore, we’ve allowed for the Estate
Resort to be accessible to the Bride’s Wedding Coordinator as well as approved
wedding vendors, whom are providing elements such as extensive lighting,
flowers, custom linens…etc., to begin setting up Friday morning of the Wedding
Weekend. This set-up period will give
ample time to arrange the tables and chairs, add or remove furniture as needed,
accept deliveries, run technical rehearsals and so on.
GUEST
CHECK-IN:
As guests arrive to the estate,
they will be guided to the Private Reserve parking lot located at the main
entrance. Estate owners, Duayne or
Tiffiny Webster will be there to greet them and guide them to their suite.
Upon entering their
guestroom, guests will be welcomed with an individualized, hand-written note
from Duayne & Tiffiny
Webster, fresh-cut flowers, a bottle of Champagne on
ice, champagne glasses, bottled water, an assortment of gourmet snacks and any
special gifts from the Bride and Groom.
While awaiting the arrival of others, guests are welcome to enjoy the
pool facilities, walk the grounds, stroll through the vineyards or meander down
to the winery to do some wine-tasting.
The Honeymoon Suite is
certainly ready for the Bride and Groom.
Pristine, luxurious and peaceful; it is a romantic oasis free of stress
and frenzy. The open French doors of the
balcony draw in the warm afternoon breeze and the view is abundant and royal,
stretching out over the entire estate. A
select bottle of Champagne is on ice and a basket overflowing with gourmet
cheeses, assorted crackers, dried and fresh fruit is on hand to welcome
them. Duayne & Tiffiny have left a
hand-written note thoughtfully expressing their gratitude to serve as the
hosting facility for this special occasion and to wish them all
the best for their wedding, their marriage and all that is to come!
THE WEDDING REHEARSAL: This
is a time for the Bride and Groom to gather their wedding parties and close
family together to go over the procedures of their wedding ceremony. Often times this involves meeting the
Officiant for the first time, pairing bridesmaids with groomsmen, designating
places where members of the wedding party will stand, practicing walking down
the Romeo & Juliet staircase or down the aisle, etc...and should last about
1 to 1 ½ hours. This rehearsal is
facilitated by the Bride’s Wedding Coordinator in conjunction with the Villa Oliva Vineyards Event Hostess.
THE REHEARSAL DINNER: In recognition of this sacred moment among family
members and friends when the Bride and Groom express their deepest appreciation
for the role their guests
have played in supporting their wedding, Villa Oliva Vineyards created The Legacy Room; a special place for
just this occasion.
Located off the Grand
Ballroom and overlooking The Plaza, The Legacy Room sets the stage for the
perfect Rehearsal Dinner. Timeless, with
European stonework and wood beam ceilings, this intimate space evokes emotion,
solidarity and prestige.
Villa Oliva
staff, neat and professional in classic white buttoned-down shirts and ties,
will attentively take care of all guests’ needs, setting the tone for the
exceptional customer service they will receive all weekend. The overall atmosphere, menu selections and
service style for this evening’s dinner and wine pairings, is luscious and
elegant, yet chic and not overdone.
After dinner, guests
who are looking to stay a little longer, connect with friends and really soak
in the exclusivity of the Estate, will be pleased to find The Billiard Lounge located
just up stairs from The Legacy Room.
Inside, the sleek and stylish lounge is complete with a billiard table,
flatscreen televisions, a mahogany wood bar and soft club-style seating. It’s the perfect place to just hang out!
SATURDAY
OF THE WEDDING
WEEKEND
BREAKFAST
IS SERVED:
As guests awake in the morning to
warm sun and vineyard views, they’ll find a delicious homemade breakfast
awaiting them down the Great Room of the Villa.
A vast assortment of comfortable selections including
quiche, oatmeal,
cereal, bagels with cream cheese, toast and pastries along with seasonal fruit,
fresh-squeezed juice, gourmet coffee and tea will be available. The Breakfast Bar will be available throughout
the morning from 7:00am to 10:30am for guests to enjoy at their leisure. The Villa pool is located off the Great Room
and might be just the right spot for guests to steal a quiet moment and read
the morning paper before all the festivities of The Big Day get underway. Should colder weather be the order of the
day, the cozy Villa fireplace will certainly warm guests up.
THE BRIDAL BOUTIQUE
& SALON: The moment has arrived…Today is the Bride’s Wedding
Day. The vision she has been dreaming
about and designing for months will finally come together. Until today, she has only imagined the
feeling of slipping into her wedding gown, buckling her satin shoes and
adjusting her veil under the proud and tearing eyes of her Mother and
Grand-Mother. Now, she will live it.
Villa Oliva Vineyards treasures this right of passage and thus created an
extraordinary
sanctuary for this moment.
The Bridal Boutique & Salon caters to the Bride on a level of grace
and elegance that cannot be found anywhere else. Natural sunlight fills the lounge area where
comfortable plush seating surrounds a classic coffee table, providing a restful
viewing place for the special women in her life to on look her preparations. A gourmet lunch of assorted finger sandwiches,
salads, scones, and petite pastries will be served along with hot tea, iced
tea, lemonade and champagne. French
doors swing widely open to reveal the Bride’s Secret Garden; a lush, grassy
area adorned with sweeping pepper trees, roses, lavender and of course,
rosemary, the timeless wedding symbol of remembrance used for generations.
The Bridal Salon is
exactly that…a full-service salon complete with a shower, shampoo bowl,
wall-to-wall make-up mirrors & counters, multiple electrical outlets, softly
-filtered lighting and director’s chairs that provide ample space for the Bride
and her Bridesmaids to get their hair and make-up done. Villa
Oliva again has understood the value in celebrating this age-old ritual of
women getting ready together as an event unto itself. Our Bridal Salon far exceeds the cramped,
undecorated space often allocated for the Bride or the hotel suite that is
beautiful but doesn’t function well for this many people to occu
py. We know how exciting this time is for all of
the friends and family involved and we want them to feel just pampered and
cared for as the Bride.
The wedding dress…most-likely
custom-made by a high-end designer, costing thousands of dollars, along with
multiple Bridesmaids’ dresses, expensive in their own right, are often brought
to the designated “Dressing Room” and then left with nowhere to hang. Our Bridal Boutique changes that completely. Here a plethora of space has been designated
to showcase these beautiful gowns on highly-positioned individual hooks thus,
allowing them to flow freely without touching the ground. A double-sided three way mirror offers separate
dressing areas for the Bride and her Bridesmaids.
Quite literally…the
stage is now set for the moment the vision of being a Bride is unveiled. At the center of the Bridal Boutique is the
platform stage. A place where the Bride
and can step-up and see herself from every angle and where her Mother,
Grand-Mother, Sisters and Aunts can also see her from anywhere in the Bridal
Boutique & Salon.
NOW,
THE MEN:
All too often forgotten
about in this department and left to their own devices, Villa Oliva Vineyards
sought to create the Ultimate Gentleman’s
Quarters. Distinctly constructed in a
Country Club style, with rich colors and dark wood, abundant plush, leather
seating, a wet bar and flatscreen televisions, this is an area the Groom and
his Groomsmen can truly call their own.
A Full shower, multiple sinks, wall-to-wall mirrors, ample counter
space, and individualized mahogany lockers, make this space functional for
everyone.
A gourmet lunch of
sliders and sandwiches will be served alongside assorted kettle-style potato
chips, mixed nuts pretzels and pasta salad.
A “Micro-Brew Bar” will feature beer selections from local breweries and
well as favorite imports. Bottled water
and soft drinks will also be available.
Just outside the doors
of the Gentleman’s Quarters in the staircase leading to the Billiard
Lounge. Time permitting; the gentlemen
are welcome to enjoy a beer and a brotherly game of pool before the Wedding
Ceremony.
PRE-
CEREMONY WINE
& CHEESE: Upon driving through the main gates of the Estate
Resort, wedding guests will be directed down the drive where professional,
courteous Villa Oliva valet service
awaits. Dressed in navy blue sportswear,
donning the Villa Oliva Vineyards crest,
the staff is polished and welcoming,
presenting Villa Oliva standards right from the beginning.
After checking-in their
cars, guests will follow a beautiful, tree-lined pathway leading into the
winery courtyard. As an Estate Resort
that also includes a boutique winery, we have the extremely rare ability to
offer private tastings for wedding guests.
Wine pouring staff will be on hand to serve complimentary tastings of Villa Oliva Vineyards premium
Italian-style wines as our Fromagier pairs each tasting with a select artisan
cheese. Guests are invited to arrive as
early as two hours before the ceremony and take their time exploring the winery. For every wedding, either the winemaker or
Duayne will be on hand to give informal tours of the production facility,
educate guests a bit on the wine-making process, show-off the Barrel Room and if they’re lucky, even syphon out a
little wine for them to taste straight from the barrel.
THE WEDDING CEREMONY: As
the chimes ring signaling guests that the wedding ceremony is about to begin,
it’s time for them to make their way to The Plaza. The impeccably designed, elegant features of
The Plaza are instantly noticeable as guests walk over paths of Biblical stone,
flanked by olive trees and petite vineyards.
Encapsulating The Plaza to the west is the
Cathedral, where this evening’s
dinner will later take place. To the
north are the doors to the Wine Cave, carved deep into the hillside. To the east is the stunning Romeo &
Juliet staircase, every bit as lavish and romantic as it sounds, that will
serve as the stage and focal point for the wedding ceremony. Rounding out The Plaza to the south, are the
manicured Mediterranean gardens and bocce ball court, all of which are
accessible for wedding guests.
Amidst a cool breeze
and Italian opera softly filling the atmosphere, guests are escorted to their
seats. A quite hush followed by a string
quartet, dramatically announces that the ceremony has begun. Soon members of the Families and Wedding
Party make their way under the Vineyard Trellis and down the Romeo & Juliet
staircase, taking their position along the lower platform. Once the Groom is in his place, the Bride
will make her entrance. In the most
dramatic, graceful, romantic fashion, the Bride with pause for just a moment at
the top of the staircase before ascending down to meet her Groom. With all eyes on her, at the center of the
Estate, this breathtaking moment is the culmination of all that Villa Oliva Vineyards was designed for.
At the conclusion of
the ceremony the Newlyweds and their Wedding Party will be able to take
advantage of the extensive photographic locations at the Resort while guests
enjoy a Cocktail Hour in The Plaza.
THE COCKTAIL HOUR: Villa
staff, classic in black and white tuxedo fare, present white glove service;
passing trays of hors d’oerves and glasses of champagne to guests in The
Plaza. With the
sun setting just enough
to reveal the tiny white lights twinkling amongst the trees, the climate is warm,
relaxed and celebratory.
Taking things to
another extraordinary level, the wide wooden doors of the Wine Cave are pulled
back to reveal a secluded lounge of plush seating and candlelight as well as a
hosted bar complete with the Bride and Groom’s selection of wine & beer,
champagne, soft drinks and bottled water.
Guests continue to
mingle against the background of Frank Sinatra standards, as epicurean delights
abound until the next set of chimes is heard.
This signals dinner leading guests to make their way into the Cathedral.
THE FIVE-STAR
DINNER RECEPTION: A Twenty-five foot ceiling adorned with Mediterranean
tiles, shimmers in the glow of candlelit tables. A long wall, aligned with
over-sized arches and open French doors seems to be reaching out to The Plaza,
bringing guests in. The Cathedral is so
much more than brick and mortar…it is art, and it is stunning!
The table is set for an
extraordinary dinner. Layers of silk
linens, fine china and crystal look majestic amidst sculptured center-pieces of
roses and orchids. As guests take their
seats and the Bride and Groom are presented, a master-minded, theatrical
presentation is about to begin.
Course by course, the
evening’s meal will be presented in an orchestrated, almost choreographed
manner that is full of as much drama and intrigue as the entrees
themselves. In a parade-like fashion,
each individual plate is hand-carried by white-gloved Villa Oliva staff and then positioned perfectly in front of each
guest. Premium red & white wine
selections will be hand-poured and paired specifically with each course, bringing
out the flavor of distinct ingredients. Later,
miniature spheres of frozen sorbet will be served to refresh the palate before
the main course.
If guests are expecting
ordinary dessert to follow, they will be delighted by what is in store. Adding an element of surprise, the Bride and
Groom have saved dessert for a separate location.
THE EVENING CONTINUES:
Out the Cathedral and through The Plaza,
guests pass under the Vineyard Trellis before arriving at The Grand Ballroom. Marvelous, in all its glory, commanding the
highest point of the Estate, The Grand Ballroom of the Villa is alluring and
luxurious.
Intricate Italian
stonework adorn the walls framing features of the ballroom like the panoramic
view through 20 foot glass windows, the 15th century lion-head fountain, the mahogany bar and imposing
Grand
Staircase. The entire space is
unexpectedly staged as a lounge, featuring multiple seating areas of different
styles. From leather couches and coffee
tables to bistro tables and chairs, the entire mood has shifted to embody an
urban touch of “after-hours” European nightlife.
A Dessert Bar entices
guests with cocktail portions of classic favorites like tiramisu, chocolate
soufflés and crème brulee while baristas stand by ready to froth up lattes,
mochas and cappuccino. Wedding Cake, no doubt, will also be served and is
resting comfortably on a stage all of its own.
A spotlight finds the
Bride and Groom at the top of the staircase and while the band plays on, they
make their Grand Entrance. Soon, the
dance floor is packed with aunts and uncles and ol’ friends alike putting the
Reception into full swing!
As the evening wears on
and guests wish to steal away a more quiet moment, they’ll find the Billiard
Lounge, located at the top of the Grand Staircase, to be just the right
place. Here, guests can enjoy a glass of
wine or cold beer and sit at the bar or in the lounge area, peering down over
the balcony to the dance floor below.
Billiard tables give way to some long overdue comradery between friends,
allowing them to enjoy a wedding reception in a completely new way.
The champagne is
flowing, the music is pumping and everyone is having an amazing experience.
THE CLOCK STRIKES
MIDNIGHT!: As
the evening comes to an end, guests will be happy to find
the Valet Lounge just
a few steps away, off the foyer of the Grand Ballroom. The cool breeze of night meets the cozy
warmth of the indoor/outdoor lounge. Comfortable seating along the perimeter
provides welcomed rest for tired feet.
Bottled water and espresso serve as the final touch before guests retreat
back to their cars and are on their way!
Back at the Villa Inn, a
midnight buffet of assorted pizzas and salad, beer and wine await weary overnight
guests.
In the Honeymoon Suite,
love is in the air. The bed has been
turned down and sprinkled with roses, a bubble-bath has been drawn, candles are
lit, champagne is waiting on ice and a gourmet platter of exquisite cheeses and
chocolate strawberries is perfectly placed.
The final toast of the day belongs to just them, “to the Bride and
Groom!”

SUNDAY OF THE WEDDING WEEKEND
(Farewell
Mimosa Brunch, Tear-Down): A
weekend celebrating love, friendship and family, will soon commence with one
more extraordinary experience. Guests
are invited to join the Newlyweds in an enchanting pool-side brunch
extravaganza featuring our Chef’s interpretation of classic European selections. The Villa
Oliva Vineyard’s signature “Farewell Mimosa Brunch,” will bring family and
friends together one last time to extend their well wishes to the Bride and
Groom. The sound of Jazz fills the air and
the sun dances on the water while everyone tells stories and recants the events
of the weekend.
The days have been
spent making life-long memories and it has been “our pleasure.”
